The 20th National Symposium on the Development of Wood based Panel Industry

       On September 4, the 20th National Symposium on the Development of Wood based Panel Industry was held in Shanghai. The seminar is themed "New Trends, New Developments, New Patterns", and industry experts, scholars, enterprise representatives, relevant departments, and association leaders jointly analyze the impact of the current economic situation on the development of the artificial board industry, and explore the direction, goals, and paths for high-quality development of the artificial board industry.

1、 What is the National Symposium on the Development of Wood based Panel Industry

       The National Wood based Panel Industry Development Seminar has been held once a year since 2002, and is organized by four sponsors, namely, China Forestry Machinery Association, China Forestry Industry Association, China Green Times, and the Wood Industry Research Institute of China Academy of Forestry Sciences. 

       So far, the National Symposium on the Development of Wood based Panel Industry has been successfully held for 20 years, which is a benchmark summit in the wood-based panel industry.

       This seminar focused on promoting a number of highly recognized new products, processes, and equipment in the industry. The seminar conducted in-depth analysis on the high-quality development of the artificial board industry from the perspectives of hot topics in the industry, changes in industrial structure adjustment, domestic and foreign artificial board trade and policy analysis, technological improvement and innovation of large-scale production line equipment, new development of ultra strong particleboard, intelligent production of plywood, whole plant planning, and the latest development trends in decorative technology.

3、 Discussion and Speech at the General Manager's Meeting

       During the hot topic discussion stage of the seminar, Mr. Yu was the first to give a five minute speech on the future and direction of the scientific development of particleboard. The topic of the speech is "Low density and high strength are the future and direction of scientific development of particleboard".

       The production of particleboard has developed rapidly to this day, with equipment and technology advancing by leaps and bounds, but sales methods are relatively limited. Blindly raising various physical and chemical properties due to terminal constraints cannot guide consumption purposefully, but rather achieve all indicators to the extreme. For example, density, static curvature, moisture content, waterproofing, taste, including color, this blindly raising performance behavior will cause great waste of social resources. Therefore, to reduce the waste of social resources, we need to start from little by little, especially - low-density and high-strength is our best entry point.
