The base material is a very important indicator for determining the performance of artificial boards. The quality of the base material determines the grade of artificial boards, most performance indicators, and the comprehensive service life of the product. Indicators such as the moisture resistance of the product and the stability of the product are closely related to the quality of the base material.

01 The base material is an important criterion for defining the quality of artificial boards

High-quality base materials should have several characteristics: First, the wood must be fresh enough, and there must be no rotten wood and too much bark, otherwise the advantages of wood fiber will be reduced. Secondly, it is necessary to ensure that the density of different wood raw materials used is close, preferably a single wood species. In order to better control the purity and freshness of the wood species, it is best to use a fixed tree species, which ensures the uniform physical properties of the product and consistent mechanical processing performance. With such conditions, the product can have a more stable quality.

02 Good raw materials make good "core" materials

The base materials of Hubei Huasheng's OSB and LSB high-end product lines are selected from high-quality logs from home and abroad. High-quality wood with moderate density, uniform structure, average shrinkage and strong stability. High-quality logs do not have problems such as decay, heart rot and insect bites; the wood has good nail holding power, strong permeability, and is very easy to prevent corrosion, dry, cure and color, making it a good raw material for OSB board base materials.

Hubei Huasheng uses large-diameter high-quality logs from economic forests as raw materials for OSB and FOSB, removes bark and leaves, and does not mix branches, side materials, etc., making the product structure more uniform, high density, high strength, and a large number of long wood fibers to promote a small expansion coefficient. High-quality long shavings chipped by top international imported equipment have uniform shape, consistent appearance and excellent performance!

High-quality logs are carefully selected, peeled, and cut into planers with certain geometric shapes along the direction of the wood grain. The high-quality long planers processed by advanced equipment imported from the world are 20-40mm wide, 120~140mm long, and 0.4~0.6mm thick, which are far superior to the planing quality on the market, preserve a large amount of long wood fibers, and the quality is closer to natural wood.

The internal structure of the product produced from high-quality logs is arranged vertically on the surface and horizontally on the core. This overlapping vertically staggered structure gives the finished product extremely high mechanical properties and dimensional stability, and can remain unchanged under long-term load. The internal bonding strength is extremely high, there are no joints, gaps, or cracks anywhere, and the overall uniformity is excellent. Whether in the center, edges or sides, it has a super strong nail holding ability that ordinary boards cannot match.
